How to Enable Wi-Fi Calling on Phone

Wi-Fi Calling lets you make and receive calls using a Wi-Fi network when cellular coverage is weak or unavailable. Follow the steps below to turn it on for your device.

Before You Begin

• Make sure your device is connected to a Wi-Fi network.

• Keep your device software up to date.

• You may be asked to confirm or provide an emergency address. This is required so emergency services know where to route calls made over Wi-Fi.

Enable Wi-Fi Calling on Android

1. Open the Settings app.

2. Tap Network & Internet or Connections (the exact name may vary by device).

3. Tap Mobile Network or SIMs.

4. Look for Wi-Fi Calling. It may appear under Advanced.

5. Toggle Wi-Fi Calling On.

6. If prompted, review or enter your emergency address, then follow any on-screen instructions to complete setup.

Enable Wi-Fi Calling on iPhone

1. Open the Settings app.

2. Tap Cellular (or Mobile Network, depending on your device region).

3. Tap Wi-Fi Calling.

4. Toggle Wi-Fi Calling on This iPhone On.

5. If prompted, confirm or update your emergency address.

That’s it!

Once enabled, your phone will automatically use Wi-Fi Calling whenever it provides the best connection. If you still have trouble, try restarting your device or reconnecting to Wi-Fi.
