How to Enable Wi-Fi Calling on Phone
Wi-Fi Calling lets you make and receive calls using a Wi-Fi network when cellular coverage is weak or unavailable. Follow the steps below to turn it on for your device.
Before You Begin
Make sure your device is connected to a Wi-Fi network.
Keep your device software up to date.
You may be asked to confirm or provide an emergency address. This is required so emergency services know where to route calls made over Wi-Fi.
Enable Wi-Fi Calling on Android
Open the Settings app.
Tap Network & Internet or Connections (the exact name may vary by device).
Tap Mobile Network or SIMs.
Look for Wi-Fi Calling. It may appear under Advanced.
Toggle Wi-Fi Calling On.
If prompted, review or enter your emergency address, then follow any on-screen instructions to complete setup.
Enable Wi-Fi Calling on iPhone
Open the Settings app.
Tap Cellular (or Mobile Network, depending on your device region).
Tap Wi-Fi Calling.
Toggle Wi-Fi Calling on This iPhone On.
If prompted, confirm or update your emergency address.
That’s it!
Once enabled, your phone will automatically use Wi-Fi Calling whenever it provides the best connection. If you still have trouble, try restarting your device or reconnecting to Wi-Fi.
