How to Unlock your Verizon Phone

Unlock your Verizon phone by following these simple steps below!

To unlock your phone please see these requirements:  

  • Devices purchased from Verizon are automatically locked for 60 days after purchase or activation. After 60 days, the device is automatically unlocked, provided it hasn't been reported as lost or stolen. 
  • Prepaid devices are also locked for 60 days from the date of purchase. 
To Unlock your phone:
  1. Call Verizon Customer Service at 1-800-922-0204. 
  2. Provide your account details and device IMEI number. 
  3. If your device is eligible, the representative will guide you through the unlocking process. 

Additional Notes:

For devices reported as lost or stolen, or if there is fraudulent activity, the unlocking policy does not apply. 

Military personnel can have their devices unlocked prior to the 60-day period by providing deployment documentation.
